My Love Letter To You

You asked me to write you a love letter. This probably isn’t going to be what you were expecting. You see I can’t and won’t write you a love letter in the way you want. I can’t write or say anything that will authentically fill you up and bring light to your darkest corners like you can.my love letter

Of course there are many things I could say about you and for you. I do love you and because I do I will not let anyone be responsible for your happiness, except you. You see, I don’t ever want me or anyone else to hold the key to your happiness. I hope you understand. I want to be assured that when people walk out of your life (and they will) that you will remain happy because that is what you are, happy.

You are a good person, kind, generous, spirited, funny, intelligent and beautiful inside and out. I know this. These are some of the many reasons why I love you. Whether you know it or not your laugh, smile and warmth light up people around you all the time. I wish for you to be able to feel that in yourself as the rest of us have had the honor to.

My love letter to you, is that I hope you always see your beauty and worth. I hope you cherish it by living a good, genuine and meaningful life, whatever that looks like for you. I hope you feel love. I hope you give love. I hope you can find something to smile and laugh about every day. I hope your spirit stays strong, as you are.

I wish I could protect you from the hard, sad, empty and painful times. I can’t though. I am telling you this because I love you. I want you to know though you will be okay, you will be better than okay. You are solid, your heart is good and you are made to be happy. The difficult times will pass, they always do.

I wish I could write you a love letter that would keep you warm, safe and happy for the rest of your life but I love you too much to sprinkle you with words of flattery. All the love letter you need is already inside of you, always has been and always will be.

This is my love letter to you.

You

you2

If only I could photograph how beautifully you reflect in space

Capture your magnificence and place it in your hands to hold

If your eyes could see what I do

If you could feel my hearts flow

If I could just spoon to you the nectar of your spirit and the sweet taste of your soul

I quietly watch with gratitude and curious wonder crosses my mind

If only I could express to you

If only you truly knew

The incredible gift you are

Simply by being you

~Alisa Hutton

Incredibly

ours alone

Today, I closed my eyes with a generous sigh

To pen of an evening, our’s alone

A secret garden, romantically wrapped in energy and know

Poetic dance, reminiscent verse captured in bend and hold

Extended equal stretch smoothly poured over ice

Time devoured in moments that could forever stand still

So effortlessly captured, deeply penetrating sensory snap shots in my mind

Story rolling in ease and play

Your eyes flickering all the beautiful colors of muse and soul

Breathing deeply, a delicate kiss, undressed in deliberate touch

Imagination drifted me far away

As I tried to pen of an evening

Incredibly

Our’s alone

Fortune

moon

I sat under the moonlight this evening, the light lyrically illuminating  my open palm

Slowly tracing the lines on my hand I thought of how two things always seem to be

My love for you stirred in the middle of the night and these lines imprinted for fingers to read

With its graced charm the moonlight seemed to tap me awake in fresh quiet speak

Those lines I have, the ones I trace and the fortune teller reads

They are my fabric and forever me

But that love I carry quietly in the moonlight, that love for you that only I can see

Tonight the moonlight shining in its special way, touched those lines, my fabric, my forever me

Reminding my heart, simply

I must set it free

For You

simply-beautiful

Soul

Unique and immaterial being

Be you.

Instinct

Innate pattern of animal behaviour

Feel you.

Curiosity

Ravenous hunger to know more

Feed you.

Quiet

Discreet calm and absence of noise

Hear you.

Respect

Deeply inhaled admiration

Breathe you.

Love

Sincerely placed tenderness and affection for one

All of this

For you.

Lead Me To The Ocean

beach

If you ever care to know me

What speaks beneath my eyes

Take me by the hand and lead me to the ocean

Sit with me in the quiet under the starry sky

When the sun starts to rise bringing a new day

Breathe in my love

I exhale to share this way

For the ocean has felt my deepest fears and hopes in her gentle ways

If you ever care to know me

What speaks beneath my eyes

Lead me to the ocean

Holding my hand along the way

Love That is Kept

love

The simplicity of sharing, connection

We care for another, our relationship, me to you and you to I

In raw essence a desire to love and be loved

Somewhere and somehow comes the trickle of rigid thoughts

Ego

We are being taught

We are being judged

Sized and sorted for worth

Holding on to our inner most thoughts and feelings

Fear the open and free

Interpreted intent other than love for one another

Simplicity strays losing its way

Lost in care, lost in compassion, lost in kindness

Blinded by our own internal sight of protective rules and historical hurt

Human art covered for no other soul to appreciate or adore in its naked and true form

To be loved

Unique color and fine stroke

Blurred

In quiet breathe one comes to understand that love not accepted, seen or understood is the materialized burden another is carrying on their back

Only the heaviness is carried by all of us

For love not given is love not accepted, the two must dance in mutual fall

It is the complexity of our unique human art

The human paradox

In quiet you will find  the boundless love you have to give and a purity of love you need to burst in full color

The inhale and exhale of equal importance to a genuine life

Complimentary existence for happiness

You will learn that love unlived, unsaid and unshared is the root of human rot

You will learn this particular shade is the only color shared on my canvas and yours

The same fears and vulnerabilities

Yet here we sit holding on to our love as if it is some how wrong to give

Sad as I do believe

Love that is kept

Is never felt at all

Laying in Her Soak

bath

Laying in her soak, eyes gently closed

Her reflection in the mirror gracing me as I pass in stride

Pulled with ease, an awakening

Her, she is

Exquisite art

Long in her relaxed stretch

Hand loosely dangling over the edge, inviting touch

The light catching every detail in her uniform perfection

Magnificence

She is to be written with gentle and adoring love

Painted with honorable and brilliant colors

Photographed with exaltation and respected attention

The universe tapped on my shoulder as I was passing by

Reminding me of the gift in my heart

Drenched as I lay in her soak

A Single Glance

she-will

A single glance

Your chest no longer of familiar beat

One simple touch

Wish away paced familiar know

In perfect stillness

She will show you how to dance

Exhaling her song gently in your ear

Fantasy nibbling away all of your fears

Words that pour with the seductive bite of a smooth scotch

Intellect that will wrap your mind and drag it by the tail back to bed

Intoxicated with each sip that gratefully graces your tongue

Let her wash over you like the warm trusted ocean she is

Settle in to the humidity that embraces you in fall

Drop your boundaries beside your clothes

Fold them neatly and place them to the side

For the only things you will need is the discomfort your total exposure

And

The knowledge that she has arrived
