Inconsequential

pressed

Sprinkled thoughts and sleepless nights

Tossing dreams that roll with words unkind

Hearts and hopes furiously left undone, once escaped, forever gone

Such curiously fragile those pressed memories we carry in our minds

What was real and what was not?

Inconsequential stories of the breath of love and when it is lost

Love Held

love held

Delivered in gesture

Kind words wrapped in poetic dance

The melt in your single glance

How your genuine smile brightens my way

Laughter and timelessness, the romanticism of our simple summer day

A soft touch when my heart called for nurture and care

Pressed memories of love between pages that never go away

Eyes that see magic, captured moments and all the precious details of life

An extended hand lifting me up the times I needed it the most

The judge of none, the ask of neither, the lover of one

A chosen soul that captured what is my purest form and honors it with continued dignity and grace

In my heart, forever

A love held for you in a special place

Surrender

surr

Surrender

Release the knotted, dysmorphic ties to ego’s past

Those stories were written by another so long ago

Let them tend to their dark seeds, they were never ours to sow

Experience and light

This is how true love is grown

Hold your values in open hands

Extend the only thing you will ever own

Your heart

Surrender

Your intuition knows

Welcome Her Home

table

Sitting across from her at our table

The small kerosene lamp dancing light off her hands, inviting caress and hold

I dreamed of us once

Anticipation of a destined familiarity before reality pressed its flowers in our story book

Here we were again, this time in shared space and breath

Eyes open, hearts sitting in rise

Was my dream the reality I needed to feel in order enable vision?

Or was my vision what I needed in order to enable my feelings?

Was the quiet of my night where my heart was found?

How did she know to look, was it ever her choice not to?

Her eyes in that one moment

Like the universe throwing an anchor out of my boat in wake

Causing pause, an altering drag in time

Ushering away all that was meant to pass in gentle flow

Leaving only the space we share and the stars that guide us home

The universe collided without our direction

The universe collided without our ask

The universe speaking only to say

Look in her eyes and welcome her home

Simply Beautiful

simply-beautiful

Simply beautiful

She walked an edge of life naked to the masses

A quiet smile, a constant flicker of depth in her eyes

Little spoken and much observed

Soft warmth of a gentle breeze with the sun on her back

The pride of life experienced, sprinkled with struggles wrapped in gratitude

A heart filled with love, a mind full of mazes

As simple as a child, as complicated as she wishes

Dimensions, doors and secret places that lead to the complexities of a genuine soul

Simply beautiful

Detachment

detached

Empty spaces that do not bind in connection in a wish to know. A quiet departure unannounced or mindfully shown. An observation simply wrapped that the desire to stand with and beside is not something the pictures show. Like fabric with over stretched thread relationships will either tear apart or be lovingly strengthened and sewn. If love is aloof and never felt the inevitable journey is to walk alone. A plant that is not cared for will always wither regardless of the quality of your soil. History knows unseen emotions and the heart unfed grows plastic connections and lonely souls. Silence and distance; everything needed to quietly go. The crux of connection. Vulnerability, only for the brave who dance comfortably in the unknown.

Loneliness

It is that cool breeze that seems to chill sadness through your bones. The quiet knowing glance of emptiness as you watch the snow fall in the night. Mirroring a raw soundlessness reminding you that you are all alone. Moments of beauty that scratch at your soul, the wish to share them but only echoes roll. It is building a beautiful life for two and the melancholy realization you are the only one who will ever come home.  It is thoughtful days that pass by minute on queue and the humble awareness that your day timer may be the only memories of you. It is the empty spaces that you so longingly wish you could fill. You are the silent screams of those unseen. The story of the invisible that never spoke a tale of you and me.  Your inner most fear, dying alone without care or notice. A gentle leaf that is returned to the Earth and never known.

Kintsugi

kintsugi2.jpg

Did my personal harmony echo spirit back in to your life?

Good faith and hope intoned in to the empty spaces in your soul

I, your Kintsugi?

Human gold accepted and poured to fill your broken past

Do you feel more valuable now?

Do you see your worth?

Or is the tap on my reality that this was just another scratch on our record?

Skipping on repeat that part of the song that attempts to drain mine

The space I long ago invited you to visit has always remained the same

Uncomplicated, genuine, loving and kind

The only difference I can see, my values no longer left at the curb

To hold your hand for the ones you’ll never find
