Love Her

love her

Love her

Love her because her mind excites you

Ask her questions

Love her because she makes you see colors with more brilliance

Shine brightly for her

Love her eyes and the depth they carry

Speak to her with them

Love her because you can’t help but watch her from across a crowded room

Never stop looking just because she isn’t

Love her because there is nobody you would rather sit in silence with

Feel her heart in that silence

Love her because her laugh is contagious

Make her smile as often as you can

Love her because her emotions run deep like the tides

Be there no matter how high or low those tides are

Love her when she is sick and love her when she is well

Bring her warm soup and fresh cut flowers

Love her because her heart is pure

Hold that heart with honor and delicacy because it is special

Love her words

Write her poetry and leave her love notes

Love her because her soul is kind

Speak to her with warmth and sincerity

If you truly love her, you must love her well

She is love, she deserves nothing less

If you can not love her this way,

let someone who can

Love her.

My Love Letter To You

You asked me to write you a love letter. This probably isn’t going to be what you were expecting. You see I can’t and won’t write you a love letter in the way you want. I can’t write or say anything that will authentically fill you up and bring light to your darkest corners like you can.my love letter

Of course there are many things I could say about you and for you. I do love you and because I do I will not let anyone be responsible for your happiness, except you. You see, I don’t ever want me or anyone else to hold the key to your happiness. I hope you understand. I want to be assured that when people walk out of your life (and they will) that you will remain happy because that is what you are, happy.

You are a good person, kind, generous, spirited, funny, intelligent and beautiful inside and out. I know this. These are some of the many reasons why I love you. Whether you know it or not your laugh, smile and warmth light up people around you all the time. I wish for you to be able to feel that in yourself as the rest of us have had the honor to.

My love letter to you, is that I hope you always see your beauty and worth. I hope you cherish it by living a good, genuine and meaningful life, whatever that looks like for you. I hope you feel love. I hope you give love. I hope you can find something to smile and laugh about every day. I hope your spirit stays strong, as you are.

I wish I could protect you from the hard, sad, empty and painful times. I can’t though. I am telling you this because I love you. I want you to know though you will be okay, you will be better than okay. You are solid, your heart is good and you are made to be happy. The difficult times will pass, they always do.

I wish I could write you a love letter that would keep you warm, safe and happy for the rest of your life but I love you too much to sprinkle you with words of flattery. All the love letter you need is already inside of you, always has been and always will be.

This is my love letter to you.

Dear Woman

dear woman

Dear woman,

It has been too long and we need to talk. I know you felt like things were a big mess and it was your fault but you know what, it is OK. I know you felt like your world was falling apart. I guess in a lot of ways it did fall apart but maybe it was actually falling together? I know you wanted to shrink away and hide from it all. You felt ashamed, sad and lost. You went to that place that none of us ever talk about. That place that is scary to admit. You felt like you wanted to die, just close your eyes and have it be over. I know what it is like to feel so much darkness and hurt that you lose the light, your faith and hope. It is OK you don’t have to say it out loud, not right now. I know how scared and sad you were, I saw it in your eyes. I want you to know you are not horrible or bad for feeling this, I have felt it too. We both feel, we were built to.

Woman, you have lived a long time and you have experienced a lot of life. You were raised in a world that taught you to be tough, focused and polite and to keep pushing through it all. I want you to know that when I look at you and you are feeling broken the only thing I see is beautiful and real. Your incredible heart and mind are what I see. When I say you are beautiful it has absolutely nothing to do with your exterior. I want you to know that I understand things are hard sometimes and sometimes we fall apart at the seams. I watched it all build up in you as you took on more and more. I listened as people commended you on your strength with the increasing burdens of your life. I looked at the spirit drain out of your face and your loud unspoken words that said, I don’t know that I can do this any longer. I watched as you put a smile on your face and said to people around you I am fine thanks. Even when you wanted to collapse and cry and beg for help.

I am sorry I stood back knowing, seeing and feeling this. I am sorry I was polite and didn’t hold your hand and show you I love you. I see now you needed my love. You didn’t need advice or judgement or anything else, you just needed love. I know when it all felt broken, when you felt broken, it changed your life. I know you came undone and you felt embarrassed. As your friend and someone who loves you I think the universe gave you a gift. I think your seams coming undone was the beginning of the world about to see who you really are. I think you were meant to break that outer coating so the real you could emerge. I want you to know, I see you now. You are magnificent. I am your friend, I will love you fiercely and without apology from this day forward. We are going to talk, share and feel openly and honestly. We are going to do this together because I see you and I love you.  Dear woman, I don’t ever want you to forget who you are, I never will.

Your friend,

Woman

For You

simply-beautiful

Soul

Unique and immaterial being

Be you.

Instinct

Innate pattern of animal behaviour

Feel you.

Curiosity

Ravenous hunger to know more

Feed you.

Quiet

Discreet calm and absence of noise

Hear you.

Respect

Deeply inhaled admiration

Breathe you.

Love

Sincerely placed tenderness and affection for one

All of this

For you.

She

woman

Watching the candle light flicker on her face

Shadows of illumination dancing in her eyes

Blinking only to create snap shots, moments of her perfection

Breathing her in deeply

Slowly absorbing her scent, drawn hypnotically up the nape of her neck for more

Never enough

Your relaxing lips softly mapping your way across her

Consciously aware of every breath, every beat

Her euphoric wash

The slow pouring of all your senses

Bodies entwined and curling in wrap

Limbs taking hold, ivy vines encapsulating souls

You cannot mistake her for momentary lust

She will feel different, special

As your world stands still

Time will drip with glorious slow precision

Her breathing regulates your heart

Never devour

Only savour

She comes with no beginning nor end

Her

Heaven on Earth

She

Is love
