Love Held

love held

Delivered in gesture

Kind words wrapped in poetic dance

The melt in your single glance

How your genuine smile brightens my way

Laughter and timelessness, the romanticism of our simple summer day

A soft touch when my heart called for nurture and care

Pressed memories of love between pages that never go away

Eyes that see magic, captured moments and all the precious details of life

An extended hand lifting me up the times I needed it the most

The judge of none, the ask of neither, the lover of one

A chosen soul that captured what is my purest form and honors it with continued dignity and grace

In my heart, forever

A love held for you in a special place

My Love

sky2

She is my safety, the one who hears my quiet cries. Protecting me in her darkness and offering kisses of light from her starlit sky. Pouring her moon over me with unconditional grace, she knows my heart and love in every way.

Allowing me growth in felt embrace and exhaled hold.  She is my unspoken affair and the gentle secret of my life. She is my 4 am and the middle of my night.

A Poet’s Capture

gin

A poet’s capture

Such good fortune bestowed upon me

Absorbing her story in perfect sway

Graciously spoken through her deepened eyes

Subtleties tapping on your soul with an almost contagious delight

So curious to me in the most poetic ways

To watch her spirit bounce with life and flutter in stride

I wished for just a moment I could have gently held it in my hands for her to see

The magic and light she naturally shared with me

The ripples of laughter that she couldn’t keep in

How it made her eyes dance and all around her seemingly spin

I wonder if she knows how brightly the stars shine by her side

Or that the moon and her glow in even pride

A true gift

A poet’s capture, my simple write

A fortunate evening

With a genuine light

Laying in Her Soak

bath

Laying in her soak, eyes gently closed

Her reflection in the mirror gracing me as I pass in stride

Pulled with ease, an awakening

Her, she is

Exquisite art

Long in her relaxed stretch

Hand loosely dangling over the edge, inviting touch

The light catching every detail in her uniform perfection

Magnificence

She is to be written with gentle and adoring love

Painted with honorable and brilliant colors

Photographed with exaltation and respected attention

The universe tapped on my shoulder as I was passing by

Reminding me of the gift in my heart

Drenched as I lay in her soak

A Single Glance

she-will

A single glance

Your chest no longer of familiar beat

One simple touch

Wish away paced familiar know

In perfect stillness

She will show you how to dance

Exhaling her song gently in your ear

Fantasy nibbling away all of your fears

Words that pour with the seductive bite of a smooth scotch

Intellect that will wrap your mind and drag it by the tail back to bed

Intoxicated with each sip that gratefully graces your tongue

Let her wash over you like the warm trusted ocean she is

Settle in to the humidity that embraces you in fall

Drop your boundaries beside your clothes

Fold them neatly and place them to the side

For the only things you will need is the discomfort your total exposure

And

The knowledge that she has arrived

Invisible

invisible

November air biting at her loneliness

Hurting just enough

Please look away, she feels your discomfort

Wait, maybe that is hers

Blink a little longer

I am sure your apathy will cheer her up

Emotionless silence always polishes the rock in just the right way

You wouldn’t want to have to change your dinner plans

Worry not

Her invisible ways make her heart echo with grace

She will be available to bless you with good thoughts when she finds her smile again

Mannered and bred as she was, her imposition of sadness is kept safe in her heart at dawn and quietly discarded at 4 am

This is the universal time for those who are not seen to shake their souls of their heavy hearts

Can you hear it?

Completely

Politely

Effortlessly

Invisible

Don’t blink too long

After all

You might miss her
